October 3, 2007

Hackett Security, a St. Louis area security systems company, announced the purchase of P & L Products, a St. Louis-based system integrator specializing in video imaging, time and attendance, access control, CCTV cameras and security systems, at the recent ASIS show. The purchase includes equipment, licenses and service agreements.

P & L Products has been a long-time supplier of ID badges, security cards and related equipment to businesses and schools throughout the St. Louis area. The company will operate as a division of Hackett Security.

“P & L is a Fargo Electronics partner and offers leading-edge products in badging and ID solutions,” said Michael J. Hackett, CEO and president. “They have an outstanding reputation for serving the security needs of dozens of businesses and schools on a regional and national basis. The company is an excellent fit for Hackett Security as we continue to expand and grow into new product areas.”

Hackett and P & L offer complete campus access control systems for business and educational facilities. They can supply ID card and access control equipment with technical support, installation and training. They also have a service bureau for those organizations that do not wish to purchase their own equipment. Hackett can maintain data and produce the cards for them. This can include student swipes cards, barcoding, mag striping, smart cards, student photos, student ID numbers, restrictions and other pertinent information.
