NBFAA, The Summit Group To Offer Slate Of Webinars

January 31, 2008

The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) recently announced that the association has teamed with The Summit Group to offer unique security industry-specific business training through interactive Webinars.

NBFAA’s National Training School (NTS) will deliver the business training through a series of 12, 90-minute Webinars (one per month) in which an instructor provides expert information on a specific topic followed by questions, answers and interactive exercises with the participants. Participants will receive additional consulting in a conference call two weeks from the initial Webinar to reinforce the real-life experience of the business concepts.

“We plan to launch this one-of-a-kind industry offering in April 2008. We will be working with NTS to finalize the sessions; once that is complete we will have specific topics, dates, pricing and registration information available on www.alarm.org. We are excited to be working with NBFAA’s training school on this undertaking. NTS has been providing training for more than 20 years and is the definitive source for professional development and training for the electronic life safety and security industry,” said Cathy Rempel, founder and CEO of The Summit Group.

Paul Baran, chairman of the NBFAA Education and Training Committee, said, "The purpose of this interactive and consultative format is to ensure that the attendees actually implement the information derived from the sessions and are accountable to provide feedback and receive consultation based on their real life experiences two weeks later. The sessions are short, convenient and chock-full of realistically executable instruction.”
