USIS Launches Screening Service From Special Investigations Unit

April 25, 2008

USIS, a provider of pre-employment screening and the largest provider of security investigations to the U.S. government, is launching a new service by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the company’s Investigative Services Division (ISD).

The screening service is specifically designed for use by law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency medical services for use in conducting thorough background investigations on employees.

“We can leverage our significant experience in background investigations and use the professional skills of our staff from a law enforcement background to offer new outsourcing options for the First Responder market,” said Bill Mixon, president of ISD. “We have all the skills, experience, and staff we need to offer an outsourcing option that can save time and money for enforcement and emergency agencies.”

The new First Responder product line offers four levels of investigations that range from pre-employment screening to a full 10-year background investigation. The four packages provide an attractive menu for agencies to select what level of investigation works best for their department and budget.
